Roughly 40 percent of Americans do not have high-speed Internet access at home, according to new Commerce Department figures that underscore the challenges facing policymakers who are trying to bring affordable broadband connections to all Americans.
We need to support getting more broadband connectivity for more Americans. It will help America become more competitive, globally and will also help many of our children to learn, by having access to a 24-hour encyclopedia! Not to mention, it will force more Americans to become familiar with wireless home networks, internet applications and multimedia.
